Necessary formalities

What will we do for you? Some of the formalities that we routinely manage.

Annual Accounts Preparation

• Working from your books & records we compile draft accounts for discussion with you at a finalisation meeting
• Annual Statutory accounts prepared in accordance with the Companies Act
• Review your VAT and payroll records, when preparing the accounts, at no extra charge
• For confidentiality, we prepare abbreviated accounts for filing at Companies House
• Submission of statutory accounts to Companies House
• If required, draft AGM Agenda & Board Minutes

HM Revenue & Customs

• Preparation of Corporation Tax and Capital Allowances computations, including submission to HM Revenue & Customs
• Advise you to ensure that all your appropriate tax allowances are claimed
• Remind you of submission deadlines for filing accounts and the company's tax return
• Manage any HM Revenue & Customs correspondence
• Tell you when to make payment(s) to HM Revenue & Customs
• Check Inland Revenue processing of the company's Corporation Tax Return and report to you accordingly
• Chase any refund due to you from HM Revenue & Customs

VAT

• Help you register for VAT
• Advice on the maintenance of your books and records to satisfy HM Revenue & Customs requirements
• Preparation of VAT returns and mailing to HM Revenue & Customs on your company's behalf

Payroll Care and Remuneration

• Provide on-going advice on remuneration structure including consideration of salaries, benefits & dividends
• If required, complete PAYE and NIC calculations
• Dealing with end of year forms P11, P11d, P14, P35
• If you prefer, we'll manage your salary payments & all related formalities

Dividends

• Dividend resolutions

Company Secretarial

• We can provide information for your company secretary
• Alternatively, why not let us provide a full secretarial service, which includes our associated company acting as Company Secretary for you

BookKeeping

• Suggest any improvements in your accounts system/software that makes life easier for both of us or if new, create a suitable bookkeeping system
• Alternatively, why not let us provide a full bookkeeping service, which includes data entry & preparation of VAT returns. As this reduces our work, we allow a 25% discount on our accounts processing fee

Personal Tax Returns

• We normally complete your personal Tax Return as part of our service
• Provide appropriate tax planning ideas on a pro-active basis. Incorporate such issues as inheritance tax planning, Capital Gains tax relief & many more tax related options

Audit

• Whilst external audits are statutory for all companies with turnover in excess of £5.6m, they are also statutory for certain smaller companies. We are able to advise on whether an Audit should, or must be undertaken
